Ear muffs block out sound by going around and cupping the ear. For our most economical models, the cups are made with styrene and attached to a light headband. Sometimes, both the headband and ear pads are padded to decrease fatigue while wearing all day. The ears of children, especially, are susceptible to damage from loud noises so be sure to keep them protected from noisy situations!
