Abrasions are not the only concern regarding your hands in an industrial work environment. Sometimes, chemicals can be involved and your hands need to have appropriate protection. We carry standard disposable gloves, as well as more durable gloves made from nitrile, PVC, or butyl. Compared to rubber, nitrile provides superior resistance to cuts, snags, and punctures. In addition, butyl has the highest permeation resistant to gas and water vapor. For chemical resistant gloves outside in winter or cold weather, PVC material is preferable because it won’t crack and is resistant to water and oil.
