Mechanix Wear was introduced in 1991 specifically for professional motocross racers, but they now are commonly used by mechanics because of their protection and sturdiness. Known as “The Tool That Fits Like a Glove,” Mechanix Wear gloves are made from a synthetic leather palm and Clarino OW-927 material for water and oil resistance. Aside from being able to repell 25% more water and oil than other work gloves, Mechanix Wear has designed gloves for various work environments. For hot and humid work conditions, vent gloves allow more more air circulation but have the same properties and protection of a standard Mechanix glove. When a job requires more dexterity and precision, Mechanix Wear makes Original 0.5 gloves made with Clarino Septon material for a stronger grip on surfaces.
