High quality, nice fit, super warm! Tough!

Posted by Nate on Dec 9th 2016

I'm normally a 30/30 or 30/32. I ordered 32/34 and they're perfect. Pant legs fit nicely over boots with out being too long, waist is big enough to wear regular clothes under, not baggy. Knees hold up to concrete rubs, work great in anything below 30°F when shoveling/working. Unless your being still, you will overheat above freezing after about a half hour doing regular work.

      The carhartt arctic class is...

The carhartt arctic class is the perfect line of winter work attire. Its well put together and keeps you warm. I used to work in cheap overalls from a brand I won't name but it was like wearing a suit of tissue paper. The cold came right through. The lining in these arctic overalls has me toasty in snow storms. They aren't waterproof so you have to be careful to stay dry. But other than that they are ideal for wintery conditions. Buy a size above your usual waist size so there is room to have clothes underneath. Your layers need some space in there. I got mine two days after ordered them so service isn't anyting to worry about. Happy winter working!! (Maryland)

      Not being water proof is...

Posted by Ken on Aug 1st 2013

Not being water proof is a real downfall here. It is great at keeping out cold winds and keeps you warm if there isn't snow to worry about. But it seems like as soon as I get in contact with anything wet (mainly snow) I soak right through. It gets to be pretty cold. I didn't follow the advice of buying the size above either so I don't have a lot of room for layers. Other than that they're durable and warm, so they're good for anyone not working near anything wet. 3 out of 5 seems about right. (Little Rock, Arkansas)
